About
Red Ball Finance is a transparent, educational paper portfolio. Every position has a public thesis, and performance is tracked daily using market-close data. Information contained in this website does not constitute investment advice. Please do your own research before investing.
How the site works
- Paper portfolio: No real money is moved. It’s built for learning and accountability.
- NAV: Total value in rupees (marked-to-market holdings plus dividends received), starting from ₹1 crore at inception and benchmarked against the Nifty 50.
- Stock pages: Each page includes the rupee price chart, live position value with dividends, and a written report.
- Data: Prices, dividends and the Nifty 50 are fetched daily from Yahoo Finance by a GitHub Action; my buys are defined in
data/transactions.json.
About me
Arya Panjwani – Student, cricketer, and aspiring long-term investor
Hi, I’m Arya. I was born in India, grew up in Hong Kong, and am now heading to UCLA to study Physics. When I’m not in class, you’ll usually find me on a cricket field. This site is my way of sharing my paper portfolio, documenting the reasoning behind my investments, and tracking my progress as I learn.
I named it Red Ball Finance because I see investing much like batting in test cricket: whether you’re striking or defending, success comes from commitment, patience, and playing the long game.
